About Junior High Band Camp
Summer Junior High Band Camp
June 10 - 15, 2018

Eligibility: Formatted for students entering grades 7-9 in the Fall of 2018.

Ability Level: All participants (grades 7-9 starting in the Fall of 2018) must have had at least one semester of experience in a Middle School Concert Band program.

Instruments: All campers must bring their own instrument(s) to camp. Percussionists are required to bring their own sticks and mallets.

Registration: All registrations must be done through our university’s electronic system. Registration begins Thursday, February 1, 2018. Deadline for registration and payment is Friday, May 25, 2018. IMPORTANT: Payments must be processed at time of registration. Please be sure to have your Credit/Debit card available. Please note that spots in our camps are limited and fill up quickly. Registrations submitted without payment will not be processed.

Camp Fees:

Resident - $495.00 (includes housing at our on-campus Embassy Suites)

Commuter - $370.00

Camp Check-In: Sunday -  June 10, 2018 - School of Music Conference Center

Camp Check-Out: Friday - June 15, 2018 - School of Music Conference Center

Audition Requirements: Auditions are not required to register for our camp. Participants will only play audition music for chair assignments within our ensembles. Audition requirements will be posted on our camp website on Wednesday, May 30, 2018.

Electives: Elective choices include: Concert Band Conducting, Guitar, Jazz Studies, and Piano. Campers will sign up for electives during orientation.

Chamber Ensemble and Full Wind Band - Friday, June 15, 2018 - 1:00pm
