Woodwinds Studio

About Woodwinds at USF

The Woodwind Area at the University of South Florida consists of specialists on each woodwind instrument. They bring to their individual studios the experience gained from many years as educators and as performers with symphony orchestras, chamber ensembles and as soloists. Their performances range from those in the Tampa Bay region to those across the Southeast, the nation and on the international stage.

All undergraduate and graduate students in the Woodwind Area work closely with their applied professors in lessons, studio classes and in chamber music ensembles. The Woodwind area is pleased to offer a variety of chamber music experiences including Woodwind Quintet, Woodwind Chamber Ensembles, Flute Choir, and Clarinet Choir.

Graduates of the Woodwind program at the University of South Florida have gone on to prestigious graduate programs and careers in music, both as educators and performers. Scholarships and assistantships are available, and will be considered as part of the audition process.
