The School of Music is home to two University research centers. Centers are established within the University to coordinate and support research, service, and training activities that supplement and extend existing departmental and college programs. For more information on Research Centers and Institutes at USF see the Office of the Provost website.

The mission of The Center for Jazz Composition (CJC) is
threefold: 1) to advance the understanding and appreciation of jazz
composition; 2) to stimulate the creation, performance, and
dissemination of new works and research; and 3) to unite and serve the
national community of jazz composers.  The CJC occupies a unique niche
in its field - acknowledged for its leadership, innovation, and quality
programming. Contact the CJC for more information.
